OnePlus 9R vs Realme 9 Pro Plus

The OnePlus 9R is the more polished all-rounder with faster performance and cleaner software, but the Realme 9 Pro Plus undercuts it significantly on price while matching it on battery and beating it on camera quality - making the 9 Pro Plus the smarter buy for most people, with the 9R reserved for those who specifically want OnePlus's software and raw speed.

Category by category

Design: OnePlus 9R – The 9R's glass-and-metal build with Alert Slider feels more premium and OnePlus-signature than the 9 Pro Plus's plastic frame.
Display: OnePlus 9R – Both are 120Hz AMOLED, but the 9R's panel is factory-calibrated and slightly better tuned out of the box.
Performance: OnePlus 9R – The Snapdragon 870 in the 9R is meaningfully faster than the Dimensity 920 in the 9 Pro Plus, especially in sustained gaming.

Battery: Realme 9 Pro Plus – 4500mAh is identical on both, but the 9 Pro Plus's 65W SuperDart charging is on par with the 9R's Warp Charge 65T - close to a wash, with a slight edge to the newer Realme charging curve.
